Sawn Yorkstone showcases the naturally forming variations in colour, from light buff through to dark grey.
This is a new, rather than reclaimed, stone that we source from UK quarries. We keep an extensive supply in stock, to readily fulfil the requirements of your project.
Sawn Yorkstone is typically supplied in widths of 300mm, 450mm and 600mm, with varying lengths, however, our specialist Cotswold based craftsmen offer a bespoke cutting service. The thickness is usually between 50mm and 75mm, although it is possible to supply flags outside of this range. If your project demands alternative dimensions, please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
The major advantage of Sawn York Stone is that it can be cut to the exacting requirements of the project.
Sawn Yorkstone for Architects
Suitable for formal steps, entrances and masonry works. Our expert consultancy, supply and installation services can help you to deliver a striking first impression, in keeping with your architectural design. Another advantage is that Sawn York Stone prices are lower than reclaimed paving options. This allows you to get a high quality finish without stretching the budget. Over time the new stones will become as smooth and desirable as reclaimed stones.
Sawn Yorkstone for Landscape Gardeners
The unique quality of each stone adds to the charm of any landscaped garden. A walkway, courtyard or patio formed from Sawn York Stone will have character from the minute it is laid. The weathering of the stone, in conjunction with maturing beds, will only improve over time.
Sawn Yorkstone is cut with either a rounded, bull nose edge or a sharper pencil edge by our expert team. A bull nose cut gives a professional finish to the outer edge of steps or other design features. Pencil edge provides minimal chamfer between stones for a smooth surface. It is ideal for pushchairs and wheelchairs to glide over, which may satisfy a requirement of your brief.
